Since the first lockdown in March 2020, I’ve been working on my pattern-making and sewing skills. I was super rusty, to say the least. Didn’t feel like riding a bike.
My mom had this large roll of 85% Egyptian cotton in off-white, and I finally put it to good use.
I made these high-waist flare pants, and a matching tie-front top with bell sleeves.
There’s no better feeling to me than wearing something I’ve made. It’s like… getting a hug, from yourself?
I’ve worn this outfit so many times now; to do yoga, to sleep in, out to do errands, and I can’t wait to actually wear it out in the world one day.
